Hidden - Rookwood Cemetery Sydney
Finalist 2018

HIDDDEN is an outdoor sculpture exhibition that takes place amongst the gardens and graves in one of the oldest sections of the Cemetery. It was established to enable the greater community to explore Rookwood Cemetery - the oldest, largest and most multicultural cemetery in Australia.

The exhibition is a platform for community engagement, and while it remains respectful of its purpose and place, it aims to de-mystify some of the misconceptions surrounding cemeteries as dark and intimidating settings.

Queensland Regional Art Awards Finalist 2016

When I think about the Colours of Queensland, I immediately see the vastness of the state dotted with swirls of vibrant colour. These colours to me are Queensland Artists; they are an energy of stories, practice and colour that connects us all.

In particular I have captured soulful, energetic, passionate, and joyful Toowoomba Artist Catherine Parker. Catherine is dedicated to her art practice that is deeply connected to travelling, experiences and spirituality of place and spaces. Her pilgrimages span from as far as India to Far North Queensland’s tropical islands for extended periods of time making art. She submerses herself in the day-to-day lives of locals, which provide her with rich narratives of environments and cultures. Beyond her personal work Catherine is an artist that shares, nurtures, supports and connects us to creativity.

Everyone should be connected to the colours of Catherine Parker.

ANZAC Centenary - Commission 2015
Lee FullARTon - Denise Chard

The artists worked with students across four schools  both Secondary and primary in the Centenary Cluster to conceptualise, design and create five mosaic plinth installations depicting themes in honor of the centenary of ANZAC.

Outcomes of the project include an ANZAC honour plinth for each school and an installation at RSL Gardens Jindalee.  Each plinths visual mosaic communicates a narrative about the ANZAC’s derived from children’s engagement in ANZAC stories.

The plinths are textured with pine needles impressions and the contour of the Gallipoli horizon line is represented  across the five plinths
